CAST BIOGRAPHIESKatie Atkinson [The Announcer / Grandma] has most recently been seen in A Bright Room Called Day at Rorschach Theatre. Other local credits include Lady Windermere's Fan at The Shakespeare Theatre, Hidden: A gender at Trumpet Vine Theatre Company and The Anastasia Trials in the Court of Women at Venus Theatre. She has worked as an actor and teaching artist at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA, having been seen in Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare and the Language that Shaped a World, and The Henry VI Chronicles. Katie has a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University. Daniel Eichner [The Young Lover / Ray / Tommy] is excited to be working with Pushing Boxes as a part of the first ever Capital Fringe Festival. Most recently he was seen in the Ensemble of Shakespeare Theatre Company's Pericles at Carter Barron. Other area acting credits include Aaron in Synetic Theater/Theater J's The Dybbuk, Danceny in Actors' Theatre of Washington's Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Quintus in Washington Shakespeare Company's Titus Adronicus, Coyote in Coyote Mischief Tales at Discovery Theater, and Claudio in Potomac Theatre Project's Measure For Measure. Tina Renay Fulp [The Leader / Greta / Lettie Lu] has been seen recently at The Studio Theatre’s Mainstage, Studio’s Secondstage, DCAC, and The Kennedy Center’s Page to Stage Festival. Her acting credits include Olga in Three Sisters, Ellen / Lynn in Cloud 9, Ben in Matt and Ben, Debbie / Deborah in The Model Apartment, Gus in Dumbwaiter and Beethoven in She Talks to Beethoven to name a few. She received her B.A. in Dramatic Studies from Duke University and has also studied at the Universities of London and Bristol, The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory. Andy Gable [The Admirer / Male Guest] is currently a theater major at George Mason University. He has acted in the Laramie Project, The Hour Between Dog and Wolf, and Chekhov! at Lewis and Clark College. Andy has worked as an assistant stage manager and a light board operator for Open Circle Theatre and Washington Shakespeare Company respectively. Thank you to Selene for this opportunity. Elizabeth Jernigan [The Girl-Friend / Rainbow] has most recently been seen as the Mother Goat and the Sorceress in Grimm's Fairytales at Classica Theatre. Her other favorite roles include, Reyzela in Passing the Love of Women with Theatre J, and Vesta Poteet in Radio Trailer Park Broadcasting Scandals at Catholic University. She has a B.A. in theater and art from CUA. KC Wright [The Girl Admirer / Voice / Female Guest] is very happy to be working with Pushing Boxes Productions. DC credits include A Christmas Carol at Ford’s Theatre and Toni in Ugly Ducklings at Venus Theatre. She just completed her first year as an acting major at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama. PRODUCTION BIOGRAPHIESAustin Elston [Director] is 'pleased as punch' to be part of this production. In fact, he felt this way long before he discovered the origins of the phrase. Theatre: Winner Seattle Fringe Festival 2002 for Letters to Wendy's (Director), Winner Canadian Fringe Festival 2002 for The Habit (Director). Film: Short Films - Lost (Director), Sara Falls in Love (Director), Charles Says Goodbye (Director). Comedy - NightHawk (Director/Co-Writer/DP), Reggie Watts (Concert). Music - Dresden Dolls (Concert), Alphastates (Concert & Music Video), Jason Webley (Concert). Selene Faer [Producer / Director] is excited to present Pushing Boxes Productions premier as part of the inaugural Capital Fringe Festival. She received her B.A. in Dramatic Studies from Duke University where she was an actor, singer, director, associate producer, assistant stage manager, house manager, and designer. Selene serves on the board of Open Circle Theatre, where she recently starred as Jo in Low Level Panic and appeared in 2004’s four-time Helen Hayes Award Nominated Jesus Christ Superstar. Additional performances include those at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre Summer Repertory, Wendell Theatre, NC School of the Arts, St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Encore Theatre, The Durham Arts Council, and several industrial films. Selene works in communications, training, and policy and is also President of BrightLine Group, offering services including event management, accessibility consulting, training, editing, and graphic design. Emily Gallagher [Assistant Director / Associate Producer] enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset, bike rides that never go up hill, and chasing her niece (who can't yet crawl). She is a film editor, which she feels really helps her edit commercials, but is useless in the theatre...apparently. Jessica North Macie [Costumer] is a DC native happy to be taking part in a Fringe production! Always a fan of the "dress-up box", Jessica cherishes the belief that a good costume can make your show, your special event, your career, or your life better for the wear. A puppeteer, and a graduate of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and the Actors Repertory Theatre, Jessica teaches Middle School Drama and Movement at The Barrie School in Silver Spring. Elizabeth Patsch [Stage Manager] is a rising Junior Visual Arts Major at Bethany College in West Virginia. She has extensive experience working on set construction, lighting and makeup design, and stage management; as well as experience with prop construction, assistant directing, and yes, even some acting. A few of her most recent shows were Rashomon by Fay & Michael Kanin, Exception and the Rule by Bertolt Brecht, and Kindertransport by Diane Samuels. This is Beth's first show outside of West Virginia and she is glad to be working such a great show with such a wonderful cast. |
